Masthead
A masthead is the title of your magazine and the main title. This is meant to jump out at people so they recognise the name straight away.
Main Image
The main image usually tells you more about the main story and is bigger than the rest of the text and other images. It sometimes overlaps the masthead to draw peoples attention.
Coverline
The coverline is the main story in the magazine. Its in a bigger font than the other stories as it is the most important.
Sub-heading
The sub-heading tells you more about the main coverline and makes people want to read on.
Essential Information
Is things like the date, issue no and price. These are normally in a smaller font as they are not seen as important and people may be put off by the price.
Colour Scheme
The colour scheme is very important as its ties the whole front cover in. If there too many colours it may look confusing and unorganised. On the other hand, if there is not a lot of colours then people may not notice it as it wouldn't stand out.
Bethm you have correctly identified the various elements of a magazine cover, with a good written explanation of each. However, you have missed off the additional coverlines, which tell you other stories that are in the magazine.
